  3. ALL PASSENGERS ARRIVING IN SRI LANKA NEED TO TAKE A PCR TEST WITHIN 72 HRS OF BOARDING FLIGHT

  4. ENTER SRI LANKA WITH A NEGATIVE COVID-19 PCR TEST & PROOF OF VALID TRAVEL INSURANCE: Must be in English

  5. PRESENT A COMPLETED HEALTH DECLARATION FORM AT AIRPORT: Download Here

  6. MANDATORY FREE PCR TEST FOR ALL TRAVELLERS ARRIVING AT THE AIRPORT IN SRI LANKA

  7. NO QUARANTINE NECESSARY FOR FULLY VACCINATED TRAVELLERS ARRIVING IN SRI LANKA: As long as your final (2nd) dose was received up until 2 weeks before arrival in Sri Lanka. See the below steps for fully vaccinated travellers

  8. TRAVEL FREELY TO THE SALTY PELICAN: SLTDA (Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority) registered and ‘Safe & Secure’ certified level 2 accommodation establishment

I'M FULLY VACCINATED.... WHAT'S THE PROCEDURE ON ARRIVAL IN SRI LANKA ??

  • Duly completed Health Declaration Form (Also Available Onboard the Aircraft) to be handed over to Health Officer at Airport

  • Proof of Vaccination (Certificate/Card/Other Valid Proof)

  • PCR negative test results done within 72 hours of departure to Sri Lanka ( Rapid Antigen Test Results are no longer accepted )​

  • Proof of travel insurance covering hospitalizations 

  • After completion of formalities at the airport, all travellers ( including “fully vaccinated” ) will be transferred to a Quarantine Centre managed by the Government of Sri Lanka or to a Safe & Secure Certified Level 1 Hotel. You will then need to produce the vaccination certificate/card to the authorities at that Quarantine Hotel/Centre.

  • All travellers will then undergo a FREE PCR test and then await the results (up to a few hours wait)

  • Fully Vaccinated Travellers must be given a “Discharge Document” prior to leaving Quarantine hotel (on the same day of your arrival)

  • You can then travel freely to The Salty Pelican

  • On day 7 of your holiday you will need to undergo a mandatory 2nd FREE PCR test from a Ministry of Health approved laboratory located near to The Salty Pelican. 

I'M NOT VACCINATED OR HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY 2ND VACCINATION DOSE IN TIME ?

  • The Quarantine Period for all Non-Vaccinated travellers entering Sri Lanka shall be a total of Fourteen (14) Days at a Quarantine Centre/ Quarantine Hotel/ Safe & Secure Certified Level 1 Hotel Check Hotels Here​​ 

  • Non-Vaccinated travellers must be given a “Discharge Document” at the end of their 14 day quarantine prior to leaving Quarantine hotel

  • You can then travel freely to The Salty Pelican

RESERVATIONS, REBOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY

The Salty Pelican is offering FREE UNLIMITED REBOOKING & FREE CANCELLATION for all bookings with travel dates between the 01/03/21 - 31/10/22.

 

You can rebook to any one of our retreats in either Portugal or Sri Lanka with arrival date within 12 months of the original booking date with zero penalty fees *Seasonal rates difference will be applied where applicable. 

1) ALL BOOKINGS will secured with a refundable 100% deposit charged/authorised to the submitted "valid" credit card details.


2) FREE CANCELLATION needs to be requested up until 24 HOURS prior to your arrival date. 

3) FREE REBOOKING needs to be requested up until 24 HOURS prior to your arrival date and there is zero penalty fees. 


4) In the event of a “No-Show“ your reservation will be cancelled automatically and the deposit will be non-refundable.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION

 

· Thorough cleaning and disinfection daily with government advised disinfectant products, especially in high contact points

· Our staff will be properly trained and protected

· Hand sanitiser available at all property access points and all bathrooms

 

YOGA, SURFING, GROUP DINNERS AND SAFARI EXPERIENCES 

 

· All our activities and experiences are scheduled as usual 

 

· All our yoga mats and blocks will be disinfected after each use. A sanitised yoga mat will be given to each guest at check-in which they will use for the length of their stay before returning to be disinfected before the next customer

 

THE SALTY PELICAN TEAM

 

· Training of all staff with new procedures and hygiene 

 

· Reduction in the number of employees per area
