INT. CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL - MAR
The Óbidos International Chocolate Festival had its first edition in 2002 and, since then, it has been held annually in Vila de Óbidos. It has been showing (almost) all the potential that cocoa molecules allow, from the sweetest to the purest, also featuring famous chocolate sculptures, renowned chefs, show cooking and many other entertainments.
OBIDOS MEDIEVAL FESTIVAL - JULY
The Óbidos Medieval Festival is an annual event held in Óbidos, Portugal, usually in July, lasting about two weeks. It celebrates the medieval period with participants dressing in period costumes and engaging in various activities, including a bustling medieval market, performances of music, dance, and theater, a jousting tournament, workshops on medieval crafts, traditional food and drink, parades, games, and a fireworks display.
FESTA DE PENICHE - AUGUST
Every year hundreds of fishermen light up the sea with their boats, in honour of Our Lady of Good Voyage, patron saint of those who risk their lives to catch fish. The major event is the Blessing of the Fleet, when mass is celebrated next to the port and the fishermen ask the Blessed Virgin for protection and a better life. Lots of live music on the centre stage over a week period.
FESTA DE FERREL - AUGUST
The Fest de Ferrel Festival is an annual event that takes place a short walk away from The Salty Pelican and is a great opportunity for our guests to experience local culture and traditions. The festival typically includes live music performances, traditional Portuguese food and drinks, and various activities and entertainment. Overall, the festival is a fun and unique experience that our guests won't want to miss!
